Edits for baseline theme 5.3.0

Hello,

The recent update to my theme Baseline don’t apply all my previous edits.

Please assist me with the proper coding to enter to add these to my site.

  • Transparent header
  • 100px side page margins
  • Smaller overall body font (12px)
  • Transparent SOLD OUT badge

I just checked your website and your header is already transparent and also the Sold out badge as well. Are you talking about the theme that is currently not live? If yes, then share the preview URL of that draft theme.

Could you send me a link to a preview of the previous version? I will check the code that hasn’t been merged yet and guide you.

You can achieve this by copying the previous customized CSS code to the new theme.

One possible reason is that your customisations were applied as code edits and update stripped those.

To avoid this and simplify further updates try to use “Custom CSS” settings rather then editing theme code.

Theme update can also change the element structure of your site so that old code no longer does works.

In this case copying old code would not help and solution would need to be designed again.

So first thing – you’d need to check whether the custom code was retained during update or not.
