I am trying to link a pdf in the description for a product. The link is there on the product page in the back end, but when rendered on the front end, the link is no longer there.
Anybody have ideas?
Thanx for the help
Hello,
Please Firstly click on HTML editor ( <> ) icon then paste the code in HTML editor.
see the screenshot for better understanding.
Its already on the HTML editor side as the proper code call. And if I click on the link from within the product back end, it works correctly linking to the pdf document.
I have already done that and it doesn’t render on the front end. This is not my first rodeo with html.
I have also tried it with other themes and it works. I think it’s a problem with Ella itself.
Hi @Loki1969 ,
I noticed that you’ve been struggling with adding your Spec Sheet PDF to your product page and I wanted to suggest a better way to do it. Instead of adding a hyperlink in the description, you should consider using the Free Ease Product Attachments App.
The app allows you to easily upload your PDF file and assign it to specific products or all products at once. Once assigned, the app creates a separate block or section for your spec sheet file that stands out and can’t be ignored by customers.
Best of all, the app is completely free and incredibly easy to use. I highly recommend giving it a try and seeing how it can improve your product pages.
