Email Fraud

Topic summary

A user’s wife ordered an air fryer and received an email from “Ninja Appliances Store” with a Shopify email address that cannot be contacted, raising scam concerns.

Key indicators of potential fraud:

  • Deep discounts (50% or more) are common red flags
  • Similar recent case involved a Ninja product with edited photos (logo removed)
  • Inability to contact the seller is suspicious

Important clarification:
The Shopify email domain itself isn’t necessarily proof of a scam—it can occur when legitimate stores don’t properly configure their domain and email settings.

Current status:
Community members are requesting the store’s URL to verify legitimacy. The discussion remains open with no resolution yet.

My wife ordered an airfryer and received an email from :

Ninja Appliances Store

store+88343183703@t.shopifyemail.com

She cannot contact anyone at that address. Is this a scam?

HI @Dave1946

Did that air fryer have 50% or more discount? Then it could be a scam.

I saw last week one similar topic https://community.shopify.com/c/retail-and-point-of-sale/looking-for-order/m-p/2892123#M15494 it was ninja item but photo edited so that they removed the logo.

What is the exact link of the store?

Note that the email itself is not a sign of a scam. That happens to stores that do not set domain and email correctly.

Hey there Dave @Dave1946 If she cannot contact anyone at that address, then the chances are that something sketchy is involved. To be sure, would you mind sharing the URL link of the store your wife ordered from?
