Email Marketing showing up in Spam

Does anyone know why my email marketing such as discount and abandon checkout emails keep showing up in people’s spam? I use Shopify’s email app and would like to stay with it. How can I fix this?

There are some things you should check:

  • IP: whether the IP address has been used for spam in the past or not

  • Heavy use of spam words (like free, discount, guarantee, etc.), writing in all capital letters, excessive punctuation, and adding too many symbols and links.

  • Low engagement rates

  • Recipients marked your emails as spam

  • Forms are being abused

  • Contain suspicious attachments

  • Email server

  • Reply-to address set up
