Email sign up and pop up combination

Hi

Please can someone help me to understand the above.

If I have “shopify email” app as my sign up page for collecting emails, but then also have, for example, privy so I can have a pop up when someone opens the website (I cant find this on shopify email) do the email addresses get stored in two separate places and do I need to then do a sign up email in “shopify email” and another in privy?
