Hey looking for some help. I’m looking for a way to create templates that I can select when I need to email a customer. I’m not looking to update the automated order emails. I’m looking for when I need to email the customer about something, to have a template I can select.
For example, an order comes in, but the product is actually out of stock. I’d like to be able to select email customer, then select a template. I can then have the template explain the item is out of stock and present the customer with options. Instead of each time this happens, typing up the email.
Those are more of marketing email. I guess I can do that. I was just looking for something more inside the order page, and I click email a customer. A pop up for type an email comes up, would like to have a drop down option there or something to select a template.
@trucranems My app StatusPro supports this. You can create as many custom email templates as you like. Directly within Shopify order page, you can add a comment to the order and select which email template you would like to send. Bear in mind, this is for transactional emails only - not marketing.
Having to manually type out or copy-paste the same out of stock options script from a separate Google Doc every morning completely breaks your fulfillment momentum. Clicking ‘Email customer’ right on the order page should absolutely have a native template dropdown instead of just forcing a blank box or routing us to edit global notification templates. Look at an app called StatusPro, while it doesn’t embed directly into that native email modal, it lets you trigger custom pre-written templates right from the order timeline comments, which at least keeps you from leaving the page or rewriting the same options every single time.
