Email von shopify __Our seller's forum has excluded your store

Topic summary

A user received an email claiming their Shopify store violates an “acceptable seller’s policy” and will be deactivated by April 7, 2025 unless resolved. The email requests the store ID and mentions reviewing the policy in the admin dashboard.

Key concerns:

  • The user has previously received fraudulent emails impersonating Shopify
  • They’re uncertain whether this email is legitimate
  • Seeking advice on how to proceed

Community response:

  • Another user requests the sender’s email address for verification
  • Suggests checking the email header to identify potential phishing
  • Points out a red flag: Shopify has an “Acceptable Use Policy” (AUP), not an “acceptable seller’s policy” as mentioned in the email

The discussion remains open, with the legitimacy of the email highly questionable based on the incorrect policy terminology.

Hallo,

ich habe am Freitag eine E-Mail erhalten:

Your store has been scheduled for deactivation as a result of violation of our acceptable seller’s policy which doesn’t meet our authorized merchant requirements.

If this issue isn’t resolved in a week time ( by 7th of April,2025), your store will get deactivated and you’ll lose access to your admin panel and storefront. We don’t want that to happen,so please act promptly.
If you believe this is an error or need assistance ,reply to this email with your store ID. You can also review our Acceptable Seller’s policy (ASP) from your Shopify admin dashboard.
