Embed app in Shopify POS is slow too load. Is there a way to improve the initial loading time?

Hello!

I have developed a custom app for Shopify store and I would like the users to be able to open the app in Shopify POS application. So I add a tile and select app website.

Things work as it should. However, the average load time until the users see the app page is around 10 second even the app contains only 1 page and text.

Is this normal behavior for initial loading time when opening embed app in Shopify POS ?

Is there any way to improve this ?

This is a massive issue for many POS apps, and I don’t think there’s anything we can do from the technical perspective. From my experience, apps load much faster on newer/better hardware, e.g. there’s a big difference in load speed between iPad 5 and 8.
