Hello,
I want to include a video section in my website (https://imabyssal.com/) without using youtube / vimeo. I want to upload the mp4 file directly to the FTP and display it in my website.
¿Is there any possibility to achieve that?
Thanks

@Abyssal - you can upload video or max 20mb size into shopify files settings, and then using html video tag we can link it on your site.
The issue is with browsers though because now a days many many times videos are not auto played on certain machines, that can not be guaranteed.
Ive tried the aforementioned but it did not worked since my template’s section for video only accepts youtube and vimeo videos. Find the screenshot attached:
@Abyssal - your template will have custom html/liquid section, we can use that for adding video
Hello Suyash,
I have found a solution but I can not manage to get the exact look and feel. The steps I have taken are:
Upload the video from custom html/liquid
Apply the following CSS https://codepen.io/adrianparr/pen/QxMvdj
However I did not achieved 100% full width aspect neither desktop nor mobile. Do you know what I have to change?
@Abyssal - can you please share the page link where you have this video? may be your theme has some space on sides.
Hello, sure, its here: https://imabyssal.com/
@Abyssal - please try this css
.video-wrapper-custom{width: 100%;}
as you can see in screenshot, your theme code has spacing around, that is why not 100% width.
