Dear Shopify Community,
We’re trying to embed a PDF from issuu instead of the product image. Currently we’re using the dawn theme and read about an hack, to use the image-alt-text as replace option for youtube-videos and other embeds (see here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/product-videos-instead-of-images/td-p/465298)
Embedding in the description is not the best option, so do you see another possibility to replace the image on some products with an embed code?
Seperate template, adjustment at the theme, js DOM-Manipulation etc.?

honestly it would be a ton of logic in your theme and take hours to debug i’m talking like 10 hours or more and for a few products wouldn’t make sense… Its better to have a button in the description that links to the PDF as shown
