The Shipping Calculator tool in SETTINGS>SHIPPING AND DELIVERY is very handy to calculate shipping while on the phone with a customer. However, it is not accessible to my employees because I don’t give them access to the shipping settings for obvious reasons. Why isn’t this tool listed separately in the shipping settings access so I can let them use it? Instead we have to search for previous orders to see how much it might be to ship to the potential customer’s state.

Currently, Shopify does not provide the Shipping Calculator tool as a separate feature with customizable access permissions. Employees need access to Settings > Shipping and Delivery to use it, which includes access to all shipping settings.
Workaround Options:
- Use an external shipping calculator tool or app that allows employees to calculate shipping rates without accessing Shopify settings.
- Share specific shipping rates in a document or spreadsheet for employee reference.
- Consider using a third-party app from the Shopify App Store to create restricted access tools.
