Emptying cart when a customer leaves

Hello Everyone!

So wanted to know is there a way that automatically clears a cart when the customer leaves the cart page?

Or, alternatively could we add a button to the home page, pressing which might empty the cart?

if you store are using JQuery, then you can do it like this.
