Enable images on home page to be clickable to product links

I have a few multi columns on my homepage that are currently images, and I am wanting them to click through to specific product pages. I have tried using featured collection, featured product, and collection list, however all of these options don’t allow a link to be added without a visible header or link underneath the image. I don’t want to links to be visible I’d just like the image to be clicked on and the customer to be sent through to a different page. Is there a custom code available for this?
