We would like to enable ONLY the registered users to review products - they should register/log in on the store and only then should they be able to leave reviews on products.
Can this be enabled on the store itself via the regular registration/login page or is it necessary to install an app so that this can be done?

With our app, Kooee Reviews, the review can only be submitted after an order is placed. The customer gets an email to request a review X days after the order is placed/fulfilled. So the general public can’t just submit a review without first placing an order.
The customer doesn’t need to log in to leave the review, but they do get a unique link based on their order, and only they see this URL.
Not sure if that’s what you want but give it a try if you like and shout out if you need some assistance.

In this case, I think you won’t find a ready app that meets all of your needs. You can find an experienced Shopify development company that can create a custom app or extend the functionality of a ready app to suit your needs.
Also, you can consider Yotpo Product Reviews & Photos and Shopify reviews by Loox apps.
