We’ve received a request from the Apps Store Team to alter the method we use to enable users to add additional stores to their BeProfit account.
Today, we enable users to add additional stores very quickly, giving them two options:
- They can insert the new shop’s myshopify domain, enabling them to immediately install BeProfit and link it to their user (see attached image).
- They can click a link which redirects them to Shopify, enabling them to select a shop and then immediately install BeProfit and link it to their user
We have been asked to remove this functionality and instead direct users to our app listing page. However, we are not aware of any way to send users to the app listing while still retaining their user ID which would automatically link their newly installed shop to their existing user.
Today we use the installation permission link detailed here, including a “state” parameter which links the shop to the existing account: https://shopify.dev/apps/auth/oauth#show-the-installation-permissions-prompt
Please let us know how we can use the app listing link as requested without affecting the convenience of the current functionality for our users.
