Enter a short message under the checkout total?

I’ve spent a couple days trying to figure this out, but have been unsuccessful. Do you know if there is a way to add a short message on the checkout page in this area here https://prnt.sc/KJRRaM2Mw8yR

As fare as I remember you can do checkout customization using Shopify Functions. Look into documentation, but this is advanced stuff
