Hi,
could you share a screenshot with the complete error message ?
Do you have this problem with a specific app ?
Hi @Jay_Nick_s
Thank you for the screenshot. I am still not sure what is happening on your store and was hoping you could share some more information about what you are doing before seeing this page and what you are expecting to see happen as well.
I also noticed from the URL in the screenshot that it looks like it is trying to load a “store preview” page? Is it possible that you need to access the store from the live url and not from a preview link?
Hey Shay,
The site was working fine until a couple of days ago. When I type in the
URL of our store, it shows that error page. www.blowpro.com - that’s our
store. The URL in the screenshot is our actual URL.
We don’t have access to the database to troubleshoot, so I’ve created the
ticket.
Thank you for that clarification!
I took a look at the DNS records for your domain and it looks like both the A record and CNAME record for the domain are not setup properly.
Do you have access to the DNS settings for the domain? If not, please contact the domain admin and ask them to confirm that the DNS records match the setup shared in our Help Center: Connect your third-party domain to Shopify manually · Shopify Help Center
- the Shopify IP address
23.227.38.65 - the
wwwCNAME recordshops.myshopify.com
You can have only one A record and one www CNAME record associated with your domain. If your domain already has an A record or www CNAME record, then you need to change these records to point to Shopify. You can have multiple CNAME records associated with your domain, but each one must have a unique name, such as www or shop.
This is what I am currently seeing for those fields:
- The domain has an A record pointing to 132.148.213.7.
- The domain has a CNAME record pointing to blowpro.com.
These records have been updated. I’m unable to disconnect the domain and
reconnect it. How can I get Shopify to recognize the new DNS settings?
It will take up to 48 hours for the DNS records to repopulate, that is standard across all website platforms and domain hosts. Generally though you will start to see population of the new DNS records within an hour or two after changing them.
When I went to test the domain DNS it looks like the new records have populated correctly and you just need to reconnect the domain URL from within the store admin.
I’m having the same problem!! Just happened. Do you have a solution?
It’s a DNS issue with the A Record and CNAME record for your domain.
Can you share your store URL for me? I’d be happy to take a look and confirm what your DNS settings are. Please ensure that you have reviewed them and that they match the DNS information I shared above. If you just changed your DNS information or connected the domain, it can take up to 48 hours to fully resolve.
