Hello my website is: thedrakeplushie.com and when I open my product page I get a liquid error and I am not sure how to fix it. Could someone please provide assistance. Thank you very much!
Topic summary
A Shopify store owner encountered a liquid error on their product page, displayed as a missing file reference in the quantity selector area (shown in an attached screenshot).
Root Cause:
- The error appears related to missing icon files (+ and - symbols for quantity selection)
- Issue occurred after attempting to add a product slider to the Dawn theme
- Likely caused by accidentally deleted or incorrectly linked snippet files
Proposed Solutions:
- Install a fresh Dawn theme copy and transfer the missing files/code to the current theme
- Verify the icon snippet file exists and is correctly named (typically icon.liquid in Dawn)
- Ensure proper file linking in the code
- Consider reverting the product slider changes to restore original functionality
Status: The discussion remains open with troubleshooting suggestions provided but no confirmed resolution yet.
Hey @thedrakeplushie
The error which you’re referring to is most likely an error of the quantity selector as it is not able to locate the files of + and - sign and I’m guessing you accidentally deleted them.
Since you’re using Dawn theme, so I suggest you to just simply install a new Dawn theme and create those files in your current theme and just copy the code for those files from your new theme and paste it in your current theme and that should fix the error.
If I managed to help you then a Like would be truly appreciated.

Hey,
This issue is because you are trying to link the snippet file that doesn’t exist in your theme file. Please ensure that you should link the icon snippet file with the correct name. You can search by icon.liquid mostly dawn theme use this file name and replace the previous name with the icon.liquid file.
After that your issue should be fixed.
It happend after I tried to add a product slider to the dawn theme
It definetly might have happened then, you can also set the file to it’s original state and see if that helps you in fixing the problem.
Best,
Moeed
