Hi developers, Ive been sent here by shopify as they cant seem to fix this error. I am a swiss based customer connecting my Bexio accounting system to my store via 3rd party (Bedaya Connect). Ive been having issues in transferring some of the orders because shopify is sending Bedaya Connect an extremely long customer address which is preventing the data from being transfered and therefore “accepted” into my accounting system. Its also very annoying since its logged as “unpaid” it starts to send payment reminders to my customers. Ive managed to catch most and turn off thE reminders but Id like to fix it permanently. Here is a screen shot of what shopify transfers to bedaya connect and why this error is therefore occurring. Might someone be able to help me fix this error once and for all? With thanks! T
Topic summary
Issue: A Swiss merchant’s Shopify-to-Bexio integration via the third‑party connector Bedaya Connect fails for some orders because Shopify is sending an excessively long customer address. This causes Bedaya/Bexio to reject the data.
Impact: Orders are not transferred and appear as “unpaid” in the accounting system, which then triggers automatic payment reminders to customers. The merchant is manually disabling reminders to mitigate the issue.
Context: Shopify support redirected the merchant here after being unable to resolve the problem. A screenshot (not included here) was provided to demonstrate the overlong address field causing the error.
Suspected cause: An API/field length constraint mismatch or validation issue on the address field during data transfer to Bedaya/Bexio.
Request: Guidance to implement a permanent fix so that addresses are accepted by the connector/accounting system (e.g., truncation/validation or configuration changes).
Status: No solution or action from developers yet; the thread remains open with unanswered questions about address length limits and how to enforce them before transfer.
