Hello Shopify Experts,
I need help with a few of the issues that are arising on the google search console and I don’t have any idea how to fix them.
Background: We are a 7-Year-old gym wear E-commerce brand that we initially started at WordPress. Since we are growing hence we move to Shopify Plus and migrated our entire store to Shopify. So our store is multilingual and Multiregional Store. (Multiple regions for different users. Its default language is English but since we are in GCC too therefore we have a translated version in Arabic too.
Since the day we moved to Shopify I have noticed there are a few Errors that are arising in our google search console and I am unable to fix those. Would highly appreciate it if you guys can help me out with all the info you got so that I can get it fixed.

There is a built-in redirect application in Shopify which I used to implement redirect so that all the old URLs redirect to our new Shopify URL. But since we use a country switcher in Shopify that detects the user’s ip and shows him in his respective country. Here the problem arises that before directing to the correct URL Shopify first picks the country and then implemented redirect work that shows 404 as a country code and dynamically adds in a URL based on IP.
Here are the issues that are highlighted on GCS
- Not found (404) - URL which double country codes (EN-AU, AR-AU)
- Alternate page with proper canonical tag
- Page with redirect
- Blocked by robots.txt
- Soft 404
- Server error (5xx)
- Crawled - currently not indexed
- Duplicate without user-selected canonical
- Blocked due to other 4xx issue
- Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user
