If I send an order valued at $1730USD from Canada to the US using Shopify’s Purolator Ground offering, is there any way to predict the brokerage charge that the receiver will need to pay (assuming the receiver does not have a broker and wants to use Purolator’s default broker)?
The goods are USMCA compliant, so no duty, just the fee charged by Purolator’s default broker in the US to clear the goods.
I spoke with someone at Purolator but they could not provide an answer. I can’t understand why anyone would ship by Purolator if nobody can provide any information about their import fees.
