We are a perishable product supplier. We only ship on Monday through Thursday, but we send everything as overnight. So, something ordered on Monday before 12:00 will get delivered on Tuesday. However, if it is ordered on Thursday at 2:00 pm, It won’t get delivered until Tuesday.
Can we make those automations?
Thank you for your question!
The automated delivery date option uses your store’s actual processing time and delivery history to predict when an order will arrive. Because these predictions learn from your operations over time, they automatically adjust if your processing times change based on order characteristics or during seasonal periods. This helps ensure buyers always see the most accurate and up-to-date delivery expectations.
The manual delivery date options give you more control over your processing time expectations. They generate a delivery date range by adding your selected processing time to the transit times defined in your shipping rates. However, processing time does not take in account your store’s order cut-off times.
If you prefer a delivery date option that adapts to your shipping operations and dynamically adjusts processing time expectations based on your order history, we recommend using automated delivery dates.
