Everytime i go through and update each products cost and save the item cost disappears

Ok i have been wanting to put cost of item to keep track of things. I start with first product enter price save and then on next.

Some products item cost is there but most are back to $0.00.

I ran through my product list like 3 times and this keeps on happening.

  • Have you tried making and saving these changes using a different browser?
  • How were these products added to your store? Are these products that are being imported via a dropshipping service? Or, are these products you’ve made yourself within the Shopify Admin?

I found out what was causing it. I have an app that updates my items prices based on gold and silver current spot price. everytime it refreshes the prices the cost of item is reset to 0.00

Awesome to hear that you determined the cause! There are definitely third party apps that can have permissions to make changes to these values, and the app you’ve described is definitely one such example!
