Exclude Certain Tags from Certain Collections

Hello!

I sell car parts and am running into a filtering issue that is causing some customer confusion on my website. Example situation: We sell products for Acuras and Hondas. Most of them are specifically for the makes except for the engine products. The engine products cross both platforms. The problem is in the engine products page I have it going to our Acura Collection and our Honda Collection and then we have Model tags for both Acura and Honda. This is causing Acura Models to show up under Honda and Honda models to show up under Acura.

Is there a way without having to duplicate the product that I can exclude certain model tags from showing under specific collections?

I am making an assumption here and going to assume everything relating to Acura has Acura in the title and everything relating to Honda has Honda somewhere in the title. If this is the case. Within your collections you could just use title as the filter instead of the tag. For example:

If this wont work for you there is absolutely a way to get around it. They just don’t have a way to both include a tag and exclude another tag but you can exclude other things. Looking at your products from a URL would help if the solution doesn’t work for you.
