I feel like I’m really close to being done with my Shopify store. I’m drop shipping items. Can anyone help polish my store and get me to where I making sales consistently/safe?
Welcome to the community.
What is your store link? Do you do marketing and social networks?
Have you searched other topics here in Store feedback?
But if you are dropshippinga nd having issues, then it is tough. IT is a very saturated market, but you have to work a lot on the store to get some sales.
Here is my shop

Hi Lucas,
A couple of things I notice in my Chrome Browser:
-
Your Spin to win only extended half way across my screen.
-
Your Right Rail is not fully displayed:
-
You might want to pick some different Text colors. They get lost in your back ground:
-
Your Header is pretty big and it causes your “Trending Picks” to be cut off on the bottom of my screen.
-
My favorite fun one - update your Favicon to represent your site:

Hope this is helpful.
Regards.
Sometimes you can’t see the forest for the trees.
Ask yourself. I dare you.
Would you pay a no-name stranger with no credibility, who barely just started a shopify store, who is dropshipping and has nothing to do with your order or the product whatsoever, who has never even seen or touched it, 4-5 times more for the same product?
Thank you so much! Wish I could have ai fix these things because it’s beginning to become exhausting.
Yea, bear with me. I sincerely appreciate the feedback. I have deleted them. I have a lot to work on. I have kids and wife. A job working 40 hours a week. Hard to find time to get the right things done. I’m new to Shopify you’re absolutely right but I did this all with no help. Just now hopped on the community…
Also, sucks the don’t give you enough profit margin breathing.
The feeling of being almost done is usually when stores actually need the most attention because the difference between almost ready and actually converting comes down to a few specific things that are easy to overlook.
For dropshipping especially, trust is everything. You’re selling products people can probably find elsewhere so the store itself needs to feel credible enough to make someone choose you. Make sure you have real product descriptions that don’t read like they were copied straight from AliExpress, a proper about page, clear return and shipping policies, and reviews wherever possible. Those things matter more in dropshipping than in almost any other model.
The cart redirect is something to fix. Sending someone to a separate page the moment they click add to cart is one of the most common conversion killers and it’s completely avoidable. A slider cart keeps the customer on the same page, in browsing mode, and open to adding more. That single change can make a noticeable difference in how many people actually complete their orders.
Once you have that slider cart, put it to work properly. Add a free shipping progress bar so customers can see how close they are to a threshold, and show cross-sell suggestions inside the cart itself. In dropshipping your average order value matters a lot because your margins are tighter, so getting people to add one more item per order is genuinely important for making the numbers work.
Don’t stack separate apps trying to build all of this out either. Too many apps slow your store down and eat into margins you can’t afford to lose in dropshipping. Something like iCart handles the slider cart, progress bar and in-cart product suggestions all together without the extra cost and bloat.
I am a bit late to check your store as it is now password-protected. If you want to share the password for the frontend, let me know.
But from posts from others, I see the same patterns a lot of people do. Dropshipping is very hard; there are thousands of stores that sell the same thing. And all of them are less trustworty then Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress, and others where you can find some of the same products. But yes internet is huge, and you hope you get some part of people to visit your store. You can do that by ads, marketing, and social networks. All that requires time and effort, and money. When you are starting, you have to invest to get customers, and your balance will be negative. But you want to make a profit, right? See, it is hard. The alternative is to spend your time on what you can do, and learn along the way. You can post to Instagram and TikTok: learn some basics of video editing, or use a free app . There are paid services and apps, but you can check them later. Learn the basics of SEO, write at least product names and descriptions a bit unique. You can try aI a bit, but make human changes. When dropshipping, use clean images. Saw one app here that imports products from AliExpress, cleans images, rewrite titltes and descriptions. It is paid, and you can do mostly all that ypurself but again invest time.
And like I said, research forum and learn from other people’s mistakes and successes. There are a lot of people who just import products, have 2 AI sentences for content, and expect money will print itself. That never works.
Yeah, what did you expect? That is capitalism 101. It sucks, but you can not expect " Here we will give you for free 3 months of products", no?
I understand, you want to provide for your family, a bit extra on the side. Make life a bit easier. But ask yourself, who are your customers? People like you, with family. Do you expect them to blindly buy from you? Without checking other stores? For a lot more money. 5 days ago there was a similar store, maybe more niche, with kitchen knives, note they have a lot of work too, but that is just one more store.
So you say you are exhausted, but I think there are a lot more work for you, to learn and work. And it is hard full time to do that and even more harder after you regular work, when you are tired. So I suggest to research a bit more. Is dropshipping a way you want to continue. To me it is very hard, very saturated, but you can make a solid store but still you have to attract customers.
Like Maximus said, think of an alternative, do you have a hobby, something you can build yourself? Note, even with that, you will have to do the same steps, good trustworthy store, marketing, socials. But it would be more unique, more chances to get customers. Or find some that interest you and are regular suppliers. For example, I have a friend that have some land, and likes to grow his own vegetables. And he saw some stores doing really well. So decided to start slow, for 9 months on the side to sell seeds, vegetables, and flowers. He focused on learning SEO a bit and giving a good description and information. Also focuse don packaging, custom bundles. After some time, Google picked up his pages, and some pages got higher ranked. Also, you need a bit of luck.
Sorry for the longer post, but I do wish you luck. And you cannot expect help from communty, even if you think some comments may be harsh it is honest views.
Don’t use AI to do the work for you, some guru course isn’t going to fix your life or guaranteed residual income or whatever you were sold on.
It’s not magic, shopify isn’t get rich quick your skipping all the important parts.
You don’t have an actual business just a bunch of parts other people own where you pay them the prvelage
Get self-awareness as fast as possible by learning from all the mistakes to be found in one of the mass graveyards of these clichés.
Dig through the entire store-feedback forum until you are sick of it.
Store Feedback and
https://community.shopify.com/search?q=no+sales
Then get rid of all the nonsense you’ve done so far and start clean.
Everything in /r/shopify reddit thread et al should be treated as outright lies that will mislead beginners.
Unless provided with actual ways to publicly verify the business and the financials.
Which I can’t think I’ve ever seen done that wasn’t also some guru grift with faked numbers.
Oh I know, I’m permanently banned from that **** platform, it was purely a list of ideas that aren’t dropshipping.
I could have just as easily taken a screenshot of Google ai results. The point is there are tons of things you can do with a shopify store.
I have put password protection because I’m either gonna finish this or scrap it..
I seen that there is plenty of ways to use Shopify. I wil be looking into other ways to make it work.
Lucas,
Pace yourself. Make a list and prioritize the feedback you receive. Always find time to look back and recognize the progress you have made!
Regards.
Thank you for that! Needed a confidence booster!
