We’re new to Shopify and having a developer build a site for a client who will be temporarily using this to promote a product. We’ll be giving away the item for free (no credit card) with free shipping.
Since we’ll be expecting a ton of traffic on the day we launch, is there something we should prepare in advance? I’m afraid the site may be flagged for spam and be shut down during it’s most peak time.

If your business is following our AUP, there is no reason to worry about being shut down. Additionally, there should be no issue with traffic size. However, your theme’s size, complexity, and use of custom code or third-party apps can impact its ability to handle traffic.
