I had something happen that left an extremely bad taste in my mouth & I’m
wonder if anyone else has had a similar issue or if there are any suggestions on what I can do?
I have a Shopify Capital loan where the payments pull out of an account that my sales get deposited into but otherwise I only transfer funds out of. I was expecting sales to come in & Shopify takes a percentage of my daily sales. I contacted support to ensure that the money wouldn’t be pulled until it was deposited (I can’t transfer money in, I’d have to go to the bank which isn’t a big deal but I contacted support to see if the payments could hold until it was for sure deposited as it would bounce back at that time).
I was literally assured that the money would not with withdrawn until it was deposited & I had “nothing to worry about”. But, then they pulled 2x before funds were deposited & I was then charged $90USD in fees from my bank.
I have tried contacting support following this, suggesting a fair resolution would be if they deducted $90 from the balance owing since it was their support who told me these fees wouldn’t occur & I had nothing to worry about. Not only has support been rude, but they aren’t standing by their agents & consequently I’m out $90? That seems unbelievably unfair.
