Facebook ads price not shown field link description

Hi,

I hope someone can help me figure this out.

We have been running facebook ads with both price and current price in “feed link description”

and from the last few days we noticed it is not longer shown in any of our ads.

The field is still there, the price is in shown in the catalogue, but we cannot see it on the ads.

Does anyone more experience this problem?

Thank you!

If you’ve been actively running Facebook ads to promote your Shopify store and have recently observed that the price details within the “feed link description” are no longer visible in your ad placements, there are several factors that might be contributing to this concern. Consider implementing the following troubleshooting measures.

  1. Facebook has strict policies regarding ad content, including pricing. Ensure that your ads are compliant with Facebook’s ad policies. If your ads violate any of these policies, they might not be approved or shown to users.

  2. Since the price information is coming from the product catalog, check whether the product feed in your catalog is up to date and accurate. Ensure that the price information in your product feed matches the price you want to display in your ads.

  3. If you are using dynamic ads, make sure that the dynamic template you’re using is correctly configured to pull the price information from the catalog. Double-check the template settings to ensure that the “feed link description” field is correctly mapped to the price field in your catalog.

  4. Facebook’s algorithm can sometimes cause variations in how ad creative is displayed to different audiences. It’s possible that the algorithm is optimizing the ad creative for different engagement goals. You might want to test variations of your ad creative, including the placement of the price information, to see if it affects how the ad is displayed.

  5. Facebook occasionally makes changes to its ad formats and templates. It’s possible that there have been updates to the ad format you’re using, which could have affected how price information is displayed. Review Facebook’s official documentation or support resources for any recent changes to ad formats.

  6. If you’re running A/B tests with different ad variations, it’s possible that the version of the ad you’re seeing is not displaying the price information. Make sure you’re reviewing the correct variation of your ad when troubleshooting.

  7. Clear the cache and cookies on your browser or Facebook app. Sometimes, cached versions of ads might not display the most recent changes.

If you’ve tried the above steps and the issue persists, it might be a technical glitch or a specific issue related to your account. Reach out to Facebook Ads Support for assistance. They can often provide insights and solutions to such problems.

HI @fridaharjerud

Are you using dynamic ads? If yes, you must check the template settings to ensure the “feed link description” field is correctly mapped to the price field in your catalog. Also, Facebook sometimes changes its algorithms to optimize for different goals, and you can test the variations and different ad creatives to check how the price placement works.
