Hi all,
I’ve been trying for a week to get Shopify connected to my Meta account, running into constant barriers and hurdles.

The latest issue now is a button not working. I’ve gone to Shopify support and they’ve simply referred me to Meta, but Meta’s whole support system seems to be down today, I’m not getting a response nor is the Meta support even opening up for me. I’ve cleared my cache and tried in incognitio mode and tried using a different browser and even restarted my computer, and I’ve been using ChatGPT along the way to get prompts on ways to simply get some guidance and support here.

My main issue is that right now the “Connect” button is simply not doing anything.

Is anyone else having this issue here?

I open to Facebook & Instagram App, I click get started, it then connects to my personal Facebook account, then opens Business Portfolio and I’m clicking connect - But nothing.

Any ideas here? Shopify support refer me to Meta support (which is strange) then when trying to get Meta Support, it appears their support is not even opening at all. I’m not getting a message from them, and no support chat is opening.

So I’m really running dry now on avenues to simply start advertising my shopify store on Meta which is disappointing. I’ve been trying now for a week with no luck. It’s as if the Tech universe is just telling me no.

Solved this. Go to your facebook shopping app and head to the settings tab and hit Change on the share data section.

Toggle it off and it should reset and you will be able to connect your business page again.
