I used the custom liquid tag to place videos instead of gifs on the site, muted, looping with autoplay. It works fine everywhere (including the instagram browser), but when clicking on the link on a facebook ad it looks like this.
I have to press play, after which it works completely fine and like intended. But it looks really unprofessional and ugly which can stray away potential customers. This problem occurs in facebook app browser on both ios and android. Anyone got an idea what to do (or where to ask?)
I came across this product on the Facebook Ads Library and it appears to be good. The video is displaying correctly, but you will need to manually upload the video when creating the ad variations.
This problem occurs exclusively on mobile when opening the link in the facebook ad itself, so it gets opened in the facebook browser. On any other platform the video autoplays like intended. What exactly do you mean by manually uploading them?

Edit: I just tested it again on my phone and video recorded it; from 3 times testing on instagram, it worked fine 2 times but the third time the video didn’t play automatically. On facebook then it as usual didn’t play, except for a single video! I guess it could be due to slow internet connection or something, but again: it makes it look very unprofessional, so if there is anything you know to avoid that from happening, id be very grateful!
