Facebook descriptions - Too much info on shopify page

Hi Guys

I have a few product pages with “alot” of information in the description, I’m using flex theme and have multiple tabs with content instructions etc…

this product will not publish to facebook as the “description is too long” would have hoped facebook just truncated it but no it fails it so wont show up on my facebook store, i have edited the description on facebook store now however it says when it syncs it will revert to the shopify description again…

any sugestions? is there a magic tag i can use for facebook description limits?

I’m running into the same issue. We are using Contentful for some of our products and the product page details live in Contentful so the Shopify Description is blank so I have been able to put what I want Facebook to see in there but that is not an ideal fix since it will be a few months before we can move all of our products over to Contentful.

I’m wondering if there’s a meta description that can be used or if Shopify has figured this out.
