Hi, I have a shopify page and haveset up a Facebook page to direct people to my store. The website link in my ‘about me’ and in my posts won’t open to my shopify page and I have checked it is the right link! I have been through loads of troubleshooting that I’ve found online and through an email with meta but still having the same issue. Can anyone help please? Clicking continue to website doesn’t do anything! Thanks www.facebook.com/hopemosaics

Are you sure? I just copied the link url and it says http.
From my facebook page ‘about me’? I changed it. If you click on the link it doesn’t work but copying and pasting into a browser does work, so the link is fine just facebook won’t open it!
Sounds like Facebook is blocking or not loading the link to your Shopify site. This often happens when the domain isn’t verified or Facebook flags it as unsafe.
Try these quick fixes:

Use your custom domain instead of a
myshopify.comlink. -
In Meta Business Suite → Brand Safety → Domains, verify your domain.

Run your link through the Facebook Debugger and click Scrape Again.

If it still won’t open, report the issue using Meta’s Blocked Link Form.
So it looks like there are too many redirects going on for fb to load the site.
- Go to settings>Domains and make sure everything is redirecting to the same primary site
- Go to Content>Menus and in the upper right corner click on URL Redirects and delete anything unnecessary
No worries at all, it’s easier than it sounds. Here’s what to do:
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize in your Shopify dashboard.
Click the three dots (…) at the top-left and choose Edit code.
In the Layout folder, open theme.liquid.
Find the line that says near the top.
Paste the Meta tag code right under that line and click Save.
Go back to your Meta Business page and click Verify — it should show as verified after a few seconds.

I have found content but not menus?! So can’t find the url redirect bit. I am sorry - think I am a lost cause
Thanks for trying to help when I clearly am useless at this. I don’tsee the embedded code option. I have the basic shopify account- I am so tiny and have only just started, and am donating some of my profits to the brainstrust charity so can’t afford a higher paid plan. Could this also be an issue?
No worries at all, you can still verify your domain on the basic plan. Here’s what to do:
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
Click the three dots (…) at the top-left and choose Edit code.
In the Layout folder, open the file called theme.liquid.
Find the line that says near the top.
Paste your Meta tag code right below that line, then click Save.
Go back to Meta and click Verify — it should show as verified once it detects the tag.
If you get stuck or don’t feel comfortable editing the code, Shopify has a built-in collaborator system under Settings → Users and permissions that allows someone you trust to help safely, without needing your login.
lol nooo on your shopify admin… you don’t need all that Meta Business Suite add domain. The only problem is too many redirects.
