Facing an error while testing a public app: what am I doing wrong?

Hi,

I am testing a public app and getting the following error message today. I have contacted Shopify support but they were not able to help. Any ideas what I am doing wrong, as yesterday everything was working properly? I am the owner of the account and created both the app and dev store..

As it seems you currently don’t have the necessary permissions to access the shop in question (i.e apidna_test_store), I have provided a few troubleshooting steps below you can attempt:

  • To ensure the correct email is being used when logging in, please try to complete this Forgot Your Store URL guide. This prompt will confirm whether the email address is associated with the shop you’re looking to access.
  • Have another staff member log into the shop to view the Users & Permissions to determine whom is listed as the current Account Owner.

Hi @Blair ,

Thank you for your message. I did the first step and received an email showing the store associated with this particular email. I have checked as well the User and Permissions and the same email is registered as Account owner. Is there a chance that the account reached some type of limitations or anything else?

Thank you for giving those steps a try! As the email address is populating with the correct store URL, can you please try a few additional local troubleshooting steps?

These include:

  • Attempt logging into the shop from an Incognito Tab.
  • Attempt logging into the shop from another device (i.e phone).
  • Try using another browser (Chrome, Safari).
  • Try without wifi to see if this provides you access.
