Because you are using a third party payment gateway, I can’t be sure what is causing the error but I do know that the best next steps in this kind of situation is to double check that the payment gateway is integrated properly and that your account with 2checkout is in good standing.
If you are not seeing any error messages or issues with your 2checkout account I would then contact them directly to see if they had a service outage or something similar. In the interim, it may be a good idea to enable a different payment gateway if possible on your store or to pause your store so that customers do not continue to encounter errors like that.
