Failure integration with fedex as carrier for shipping rates

hello everyone,

I need your help solving a frustrating issue that I have while trying to integrate my Shopify store with fedex API through the Shopify shipping settings screen.

I got all the required api keys from fedex to make the integration but for some reason I get this error:

  • The FedEx credentials you provided are not valid, so they have not been saved.

I tried to make this integration through PluginHive fedex app with the same keys and it ACTUALLY worked.

I know you might think that I should work with this plugin because its working but I do not want to pay once for Shopify’s plan that supposed to give me this feature and once for the plugin…

what do you guys think I should do? anybody else got this one solved?

Hey, @eitanklein .

Typically when that error message is presented, it relates to an account-related issue with the FedEx account. The account owner will need to reach out to FedEx so they can take a look into the account from their end.

Before reaching out to FedEx though, you can also troubleshoot using the following steps:

  1. Make sure that you’re using production credentials, as test credentials don’t work with the Shopify FedEx integration.
  2. Make sure you’re using the correct details, ie. the password you’re using needs to be the production password, not your FedEx website password. For more information, the production password is emailed to the account owner after the production meter is created.
  3. You can also try to create a new FedEx meter number and test the Shopify FedEx integration using the new credentials.

If you’re still having issues after following the steps above, FedEx will need to be contacted so they can investigate why the credentials aren’t working.

Firstly, thanks for the informative comment, is appreciated!

Secondly, I already double-checked and tried all of the advice you wrote here and none of them fixed this…

Unfortunately, FedEx support isn’t available on chat so I find it a bit difficult to make wait for their response in 3 business days every time…

Anyway, thanks again Kimi but if no one has any alternative or other solution purpose ill keep trying with them.
