Fake sales alert

did anyone knows they can get fake sales that will look real while working with some scammers that called themselves experts

Attribution scammers, CRO conmen, etc fake orders with stolen credit cards or do chargebacks/cancels/returns/refunds/discounts etc is common.
Generally why attribution payouts are until after money is in the bank.

If the “experts” have partner-directory listings and you have 100% proof they should be reported to shopify.
Otherwise seek legal advice from an actual lawyer.

Prevention

Yes — scammers posing as “experts” can generate fake sales notifications using test orders, manual payments, or external scripts to make it look like your store is getting real orders. These don’t come from actual customers and won’t show valid payments.

If you suspect fake sales, check your Orders → Payment status and look for “Test,” “Pending,” or “Manual” payments. A legitimate order will always show a successful, captured payment.

Avoid giving staff access to anyone you don’t trust, and never pay for “guaranteed sales” services — it’s a common scam.
