Hello so almost a month ago there was a fake trademark claim on my 7 figure business which has shut it down I have contacted shopify legal and shopify support so many times and nothing, what would be my next steps to get a response as I already had a lawyer reach out with a letter but no reply
Hi @FinalPSD1
I’m sorry to hear about this. It sucks to get into trouble because of fake claims and scammers.
Have you tried contacting the party that sent you the fake claim? What do they want?
I’d suggest you collect as much evidence about this fake claim and the party who made it as possible, record them all in a safe place, and then contact Shopify until you get a response.
Legal claims are sensitive matters, so it usually takes longer to process.
If reaching out to Shopify support is not helpful, I suggest you reaching out directly to the PIC of the Department that you can find (Director of Admin/ Legal at Shopify?) on LinkedIN and/ or Twitter. (They are not easy to find, but I managed to find this Shopify General Counsel - maybe she can help point you to the right direction)
There is a similar Shopify case related to trademark you can read here
This seriously impacts a 7-figure business, and I believe they will take it seriously.
Good luck ![]()
Since you’ve already had a lawyer send a letter, it’s essential to give them a bit more time for a reply, as legal processes can sometimes take a while.
