Hello Everyone,

I am seeking some guidance on how to migrate thru setting up the Facebook Channel using the Shopify Facebook App. I was able to connect to my personal FB page. I was also able to create a new business FB page. But, when I try to connect to the business page, I receive the error shown in the image below. I’ve looked thru the tutorials and tried to figure it out, but I can’t seem to get anywhere. Can anyone tell me what it is I need to do or provide some simple instructions?

The error you are presented with is stating that the Facebook page that you originally connected (possibly your personal page) is not connected to a Business account. You need to ensure that you have connected the correct business page.

Pages and Business Managers have separate account permissions, which means that you need admin roles for each one. The Business Manager that you select in the Facebook channel must be the owner of the Facebook page during onboarding. If the Facebook Page is owned by a different Business Manager, then the Facebook Page isn’t listed as an option to connect. If you can’t connect a desired Facebook Page, then check that the Facebook Business Manager you are connecting owns the Facebook page, or try connecting a different Business Manager.

Thank you for your reply and information. I have to admit I’m completely confused and frustrated by the whole process. I literally spent more than five hours today trying to figure it out. I first created a personal page. Then I created a business page. It shows I am the admin of the personal page, but I cannot find any link on the business or personal page to see if I am also the admin for the business page. In addition, when I try to set up an account in Business Manager, I receive an error stating “Unable to Create Account - You Can’t Use This Feature Right Now.” With that said, I am able to see my business page in Meta Suite, see below image. No idea what to do next or what steps to take to resolve the matter.

Also, when going thru the setup in Shopify Admin, I am able to see the Facebook page I’m trying to connect to (see 2nd image below), but when I select Connect, that’s when I get the error I mentioned in my first post.

Hello all.

I was finally able to resolve this issue. Once I was able to create a business manager account, the connection process in the Shopify FB app went smoothly. As I mentioned in my previous post, when I tried to create the BM account, I was getting an error. What ended up being the issue was the browser. I was using MS Edge, and every time I tried the error would occur. I switched to Chrome, and it went thru on the very first try. Not sure why, but all I know is it fixed the problem. If anyone ever has a similar issue, try switching browsers. It may save you a bunch of troubleshooting time.
