Add SKU/Item Number as a Column Option on the Products List Page
As a merchant with a large inventory, it is essential to be able to view SKUs (item numbers) directly on the Products list page without having to open each product individually or export to CSV.
Please add SKU as a selectable column in the Products list view, similar to how Vendor, Status, and Inventory are currently available. This would allow merchants to quickly search, sort, and identify products by item number — saving significant time when managing large catalogs across multiple vendors.
SKU is variant-level not product.
Even though if you only have 1 variant that product variant SKU becomes essentially product-level, I don’t think SKU would be appropriate for a product-level list.
This would be very helpful to me. I don’t want to just see what all of my products are by their title, products / inventory whatever term you would like to use. It would be helpful if I could see the title of my product, their item number or SKU, quantities that are in stock and then the vendor. I have a massive inventory as I have a physical location as well as an online store so this would make reorders and comparing my items much easier. This was also the layout of any other point of sale system I’ve ever utilized.
Hello @CharlestonChristmas
Full agree. For big catalog stores, the missing SKU in main Products view really slows down daily operations. A practical workaround for now is to use Shopify Flow or a product management app to add internal tagging or custom views based on SKU patterns. A number of merchants also employ bulk editors such as Matrixify to better manage and search their SKUs more quickly without the need to open every product on its own. Even so, having SKU as a native dropdown column would make inventory management so much easier.
