When you look up daily sales, it’s hard to compare one day’s sales with another because doing so involves adding up the “area” under the curve for each. This is not something people can easily do visually. A cumulative daily sales chart is more accurate and less misleading, providing both useful fine-grained (by the hour) and coarse-grained information (comparison against previous day) information.

100% agreed the cumulative chart would be a lot more useful comparing sales of different days.
