Atten: Shopify Product team
It is so much more time-consuming having to click into each variant to adjust the inventory qty or price. It would be wonderful if that was just on the screen in the section without having to enter into another screen to edit. (see mockup of what would be ideal)
In fact, Shopify provides you with a tab to bulk change all products at once. In this way you avoid having to go from variant to variant.
1- Go to your administrator window.
2- Select “Products” on the left side panel.
3- Select all the products.
4- Certain options will be displayed below. We are interested in what is called: “Mass Edition”.
5- Once there you can edit all the products at the same time.
6- If the option you are looking for does not appear, on the top right there is a button called: “Columns”, enable how many options you want to edit.

The amount of inventory depends a lot on the supplier. For example, I use an external supplier, so the amount of inventory is automatically updated according to the Supplier’s stock.

If you use an external supplier, make sure that the stock is being updated automatically, from its own page. Although, from what I understand, those options are activated by default.

If you have a personal inventory, you should be able to do the same (bulk edit) in the inventory tab, and there, in principle, you should be able to edit all your inventory on all your products at once.
It’s weird to want to manually edit the amount of inventory, however I feel the same way as you; That option should be enabled in “Columns” to do massive editing.
By the way, what you can do is edit the inventory of a product with all its variants at the same time. Basically, being inside the product > edit > mass edition. There will be new options under “Columns”.
