Dear Shopify - your recent moves to remove as much functionality as possible leaves me boggled.
Please, can you bring back the function that enabled us to get a notification in the home screen of the POS, with the two huge (taking up HALF THE SCREEN) buttons that say ‘local pickup’ and ‘local delivery’. Right now, they are a waste of space, and no longer function at all. The notifications to prepare items for local pickup and local delivery no longer go to those two huge buttons.
The new function you put in place is: staff must randomly remember to go click on the icon at the bottom of the screen to go into another screen (orders) and then AFTER they have gone in there, it will show them the alert and only in that separate screen. It never alerts - you must randomly remember to check. Does no one even bother to try out your changes before you push them live? This is obviously not working as intended even for this poorly selected change, that yet again removes functionality. Much like the poorly designed draft order idea. Please test your changes rather than giving devs full access to push changes without testing. Put a stop in place that makes you test and see the impact of your changes prior to pushing it all live.
