Request to enable split payments across more than two payment methods within Shopify POS (point of sale) during a single transaction.
Rationale: Some clients require the flexibility to combine multiple tenders (e.g., cash, card, gift card, etc.) beyond the current limit, noting other POS systems support this.
Desired outcome: Allow customers to pay using as many payment types as needed in one checkout.
Status: Feature request only; no responses, decisions, or timeline indicated. Discussion remains open.
We have clients that want to split their payments across more than two payment types. Shopify, unlike other POS systems, will not currently allow that.
Please implement the option for our clients to pay how they want, with as many types of payments in one transaction as they need to. Thank you.
