We have a cafe in our store and we sell gifts. We offer local pickup for our gifts and our cafe items. But we are constantly having to refund customers who purchase cafe items because they accidentally choose shipping because the shipping option is the default at the top of the delivery list when you checkout. I know we can just uncheck these items as being a physical product but then when people order those products they won’t show up in our local pickup orders nor will we get a notification of the local pickup. It would be nice to be able to choose whether or not the items can be picked up locally or shipped or both. It would also be nice if we could have the tip option for certain products also. We don’t really want to ask someone for a tip when they purchase a gift to have shipped online but we do like to have it for our cafe items when people purchase lunch online to pick up in store.
I appreciate the info but I’d like for Shopify to stop making us pay for extra apps to do the things we need.
