We operate a brick-and-mortar store in Japan and use Shopify POS. We would greatly appreciate it if Shopify Payments could be made available for in-person POS payment processing in Japan.
Currently, because Shopify Payments does not support in-person POS transactions in Japan, we are unable to connect compatible Shopify card readers. As a result, our only practical option is to replace Shopify POS with another POS system that can integrate with a third-party card reader.
We strongly believe that enabling Shopify Payments for in-person POS transactions in Japan would make it much easier for merchants like us to continue growing our businesses on the Shopify platform.
We would sincerely appreciate your consideration and hope this functionality can be prioritized for the Japanese market as soon as possible.
