As a physical retail store we have over 6,000 customers regularly and try to put in their information to track sales, return visits, etc. However when we need to merge duplicates or look up past purchases there is NO WAY to sort customers alphabetically. Through searches on this forum it seems this request has been made by a lot of users for over 5 years to no avail. Sorting your customers by either first or last name should be a basic code, easy to implement, especially with all the new Shopify seasonal updates every year.
PLEASE add this simple function for customer sorting, it is already an option for products, etc. Also, when a customer uses a credit card Shopify POS automatically will create a new customer instead of giving the option to select from the list of current customers with the same name. This creates A LOT of duplicates, headaches, and bad data metrics.
