Currently, Shopify Payments payouts show the total amount paid out but do not include a breakdown of how much VAT customers paid within that payout period.
For VAT-registered merchants in the UK, this means we have to manually download and sort all orders within a payout, then add up the VAT amounts ourselves — which is time consuming and prone to error.
Requested improvement: Include a VAT/tax breakdown within the Shopify Payments payout report, showing the total tax collected for orders included in each payout. Ideally this would be filterable by payment method so it aligns directly with the payout amount.
This would save significant time for VAT-registered merchants and reduce the risk of errors in VAT reporting.
