[feedback - bug] pickup from store availability does not account for store hours or weekend closures

Topic summary

A user reports that Shopify’s “pickup in 2 hours” feature incorrectly displays weekend pickup availability even when the store is closed on weekends. The system shows Saturday pickup times instead of adjusting to the next business day (Monday 10am).

Issue: The pickup time calculation doesn’t respect store hours or weekend closures, creating customer confusion.

Attempted Solution: Another user suggests navigating to Shopify Admin → Settings → Shipping & Delivery → Local Pickup → Manage Location, then setting “Pickup Availability to only during business hours” and verifying weekend closure settings.

Current Status: The original poster questions whether the suggested “Pickup Availability” setting actually exists, suggesting it may have been AI-generated and doesn’t match their Shopify interface. The issue remains unresolved with no confirmed workaround.

Hi team, if you have pickup available in 2 hours you should be able to set the store hours so that the 2 hours is marked as 2 hours from the next store opening time.

My customers see available to pickup on the weekend when making an order on the weekend!

see how it displays to customer that they can expect to pickup on saturday?? Should be Monday 10am

Hi @rhys100 ,
Go to Shopify Admin → settings → shipping & delivery
under local pick up → Manage your location
Set Pickup time to Ready in 2hrs
Pickup Availability to only during in business hours
Then double check your store hours
Make sure weekends are set as closed.

Thanks
Manoj
