Feedback for my beauty store

Topic summary

K‑beauty Shopify store seeks feedback while still adding reviews. Reviewers focus on conversion, trust, and performance.

Key recommendations:

  • Hero section: add a strong image and clear CTA (call‑to‑action) like “Shop Now,” plus ensure a favicon is present.
  • Trust signals: prominently state shipping and return policies (e.g., “Free shipping over $X,” “Hassle‑free returns”) alongside existing SSL/payment icons.
  • Performance: Google PageSpeed Insights shows a low mobile score of 33; optimize to reduce bounce (image compression, lazy loading, app/theme cleanup).
  • Product pages: standardize typography, add more visuals (before/after, ingredient scale) to boost credibility.
  • Footer: include copyright, privacy policy, terms of service, contact details, and social links.
  • Content: add a blog to drive traffic. A FAQ was suggested, but the owner notes a FAQ page already exists.

Notes: Reviewers shared illustrative screenshots and examples, including a PageSpeed report, to support suggestions.

Status/next steps: No final resolution. Owner can prioritize hero/CTA, favicon, policy messaging, mobile speed optimizations, product media/formatting, footer reorganization, and a blog. The FAQ item appears addressed.

I would love to receive feedback on my Kbeauty store, www.yourb3auty.com. It is still in the process (e.g., adding reviews), but I would love to move in the right direction. Thank you!

Hi @yourbeauty , I’m Kate from the PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder team. Your store has a beautiful design, but I see opportunities to optimize for better conversions and an enhanced shopping experience.

  1. Hero Section Call-to-Action (CTA)

Current Issue: The hero section lacks an image and a strong, action-oriented CTA.

Suggestion: Add a clear CTA like “Shop Now” or “Explore Collections” directly under the value proposition to guide users.

  1. The favicon logo is missing
  2. Improve Trust Signals

Current Issue: While the SSL badge and payment icons are helpful, there’s no explicit mention of shipping or return policies.

Suggestion: Include a “Free Shipping Over $X” banner or a “Hassle-Free Returns” statement to reduce friction for first-time buyers.

  1. Improve the Store Page Speed

I checked your store page speed via Google PageSpeed Insights. It indicates that the performance score (33) is critically low for mobile devices. This can frustrate users and increase bounce rates. You may need to check the test out.

I hope these suggestions help you optimize your store!

Best regards,

Kate from PageFly

Congrats on your new store! I just wanted to give a few more comments to make your website look even better. Please kindly check

1. Add a favicon

Adding a favicon can indeed contribute to converting visitors to shoppers, although its impact might be more subtle than other elements. It helps users quickly reorient themselves if they accidentally navigate away, potentially salvaging sales

While a favicon alone isn’t likely to dramatically increase conversions, it’s part of a holistic approach to creating a professional, trustworthy, and user-friendly online store

2. Include a hero section

The hero section is the first thing visitors see and it sets the tone for the entire experience of your web visitors. It plays a key role in converting more sales from your customers too!

Try to take advantage of this by adding these elements:

  • A high-quality image or video: Create a desgin that aligns with your brand
  • A compelling headline: It should be your brand’s slogan or key message that highlights your unique selling proposition.
  • A prominent CTA button: Use strong action-oriented language (e.g., “Shop Now,” “Learn More”) and make the button stand out

Here’s a good example:

3. Refine the product page

  • Display a consistent style: The font size between different parts in the product description is quite inconsistent, therefore I suggest adjusting it to make the customer experience better

  • Include more product images: I recommend adding more product images to make it look more trustworthy and professional, for example: before/after images or images that show ingredients in-scale. Take a look at this below example:

4. Optimize the footer section

Similar to the favicon, the footer is often overlooked, but it’s a valuable piece that can contribute to more sales. You can optimize it by re-organizing the elements and add some more.

Some of the elements you can consider adding are:

  • Copyright notice: Clearly state the copyright owner and year.
  • Privacy policy link: Link to your detailed privacy policy.
  • Terms of service link: Link to your terms and conditions.
  • Contact information: Include your address, phone number, and email.
  • Social media icons: Link to your social media profiles.

Example:

As an expert/enthusiast in UX, I recommend implementing these changes to improve customer experience when scrolling through your store.

Hello there @yourbeauty I’ve had a look at your store and honestly it looks great to me. The store has a very nice and neat minimalist design with high quality pictures. In terms of improvements, I’d only recommend adding a FAQs page and a blog page to help drive more traffic to the site.

It has a FAQ page…
