Hello Community ,
I would like some feedback on my store. I’d appreciate it
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. I made some changes based on your feedback and working on the rest.
Hello,
Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it!
Try and curate some products with better product photos that have a consistent style. Right now the inconsistent photos don’t look super professional.
Good luck!
Hi @nherkshan ,
I’m Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.
First of all, I want to commend you on creating such a visually appealing store! This is my first visit to your site, and I must say that the first impression is excellent. The overall design and structure show a level of professionalism that is quite impressive. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort went into building Urban Essentials, and it really stands out.
That being said, I do have some suggestions to help you fine-tune certain aspects and enhance the store’s potential even further. Here’s what I recommend:
1. Homepage Layout:
The homepage gives a clean first impression, but it can be optimized further for a better user experience. In this section for example, when I first landed on the homepage, it was a bit difficult to immediately understand what the store is selling. There are multiple sections competing for attention, which might confuse customers. To make it more streamlined, consider focusing on just a few key sections like a ‘Featured Products’ section or a ‘Limited Time Offer’ with a prominent CTA such as ‘Shop Now’ or ‘Explore Our Collection.’ This guides the customer directly to action and makes it clear what your store offers.
2. Favicon:
The absence of a favicon is a small but impactful detail. Adding a favicon helps improve brand recognition and enhances SEO. It’s also a signal of a well-maintained site, making your store look more professional in browser tabs and when saved as a shortcut on mobile devices.
3. Product Pages:
Currently, the product pages don’t capture attention effectively. To enhance their visual appeal, consider curating your product photography. High-quality, consistent images with a similar style—such as uniform backgrounds or similar lighting—create a more cohesive and professional appearance.
Example: Instead of plain product images, consider lifestyle shots. For instance, if you’re selling apparel, feature models wearing your items in realistic settings. This helps customers visualize the product’s use and appeal.
Keep the descriptions concise by using bullet points to highlight product features like material, size, and care instructions. Add a short, compelling story or a few lines explaining what makes each product unique to create an emotional connection.
4. Site Navigation:
Simplify navigation, especially on mobile. A sticky header with key categories or a search bar that follows the user as they scroll will make it easier for customers to navigate your site. Adding filters (such as by size, color, or price) to the product listing page can also improve the customer’s ability to browse efficiently.
5. Trust Signals:
Trust signals are crucial for online shopping. Make sure that security badges, payment icons, and customer testimonials are prominently displayed. Having clear return policies and contact information accessible from every page reassures customers that they can shop with confidence.
6. Product Showcase & Consistency:
The product images currently lack a cohesive style, which can detract from your brand’s overall professionalism. For instance, when looking at the current product images on your site, it’s difficult to see the product from different angles or get a sense of how it would look when worn or used. This can make it harder for customers to fully engage with your products and visualize them in real life.
To enhance this, consider using a consistent background, lighting, and styling for all your product photos. A white or minimalistic background, commonly used by successful e-commerce brands, helps keep the focus on the product.
Example: A product photo that includes multiple angles or zoomed-in shots on key features, as well as lifestyle images (such as models wearing the product), can greatly improve the shopping experience. You might also consider installing a product gallery app from the Shopify App Store to enhance how your products are displayed. I would personnally recommend this app.
With these tweaks, you’re well on your way to making your store even more customer-friendly and visually appealing. Remember, e-commerce is a marathon, not a sprint, and you’ve already laid a strong foundation for success. Keep refining as you go, and over time, you’ll see the rewards in better conversions and more organic traffic.
